- Intake submissions. Name, email, country, fraud type, approximate amount lost, and the narrative you provide.
- Technical data. User-agent string, timestamp, and IP metadata associated with your submission, used for abuse prevention.
- Staff accounts. If you sign in as staff, we store your email and authentication session.
3. How we use it
- To evaluate your case and respond to your inquiry.
- To conduct investigative work you have engaged us for.
- To secure our systems and prevent misuse of the intake form.
- To comply with legal obligations and lawful requests.
4. Legal bases
Where GDPR or similar laws apply, we rely on your consent when you submit the intake form, on the performance of a contract when we take on your matter, on legitimate interests to secure our platform, and on legal obligations where applicable.
5. Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We share information only with: vetted subprocessors that host our infrastructure and database; law enforcement, regulators, or financial institutions when required to pursue recovery of your assets or comply with law; and professional advisors bound by confidentiality.
6. Retention
Case files are retained for the duration of our engagement and for a reasonable period afterwards to satisfy legal, regulatory, and record-keeping obligations. You may request earlier deletion where no overriding obligation applies.
7. Security
Access to case data is restricted to authorized staff via role-based access controls, and transport is protected with TLS. No system is perfectly secure; we encourage clients to submit sensitive documents only through channels we specifically instruct.
8. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, to object to certain processing, or to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority. Contact privacy@aegistrace.com to exercise them.
9. International transfers
Our infrastructure providers may process data outside your country of residence. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
